Sad times
I miss my old camera so much. One day I will get a new shiny, which will make me happy, but in the back of my mind I will be thinking of my old finepix with it's scratched lens and sandy interior.....

Supermarket sweep
Staging a fashion show in a supermarket is brilliant. Well done Stolen Girlfriends Club. The NZ label, who are renound for their youthfulness and attitude, have shown how it's done.

Wishes big enough to change the world
JR is an artist who uses photography to engage people in disadvantaged communities by highlighting the individuals who make that place special, or any people, any place, just looking at people....we're all the same really.
Anyway, his work is amazing, and he has just won the TED prize for ideas 'Big enough to change the world', his project is explained (more eloquently) here... .http://www.insideoutproject.net/
I love the look of the scaled up black and white photo's amongst the houses, slowly fading away-very beautiful!

'Outsider' project
Madge Gill
Claire Tough
Scottie Wilson
I started looking at outsider art, and was drawn to the bold patterns and colours. I also found it interesting how it is done by people who are voiceless in society, yet create such loud images.
I'm excited about working on patterned and colourful knit as its so different to the last project. I also learnt lots of techniques interning at Mark Fast which I want to experiment with in my own way.

Well exposed
Somehow while using my SLR I managed to reloaded a used film which double exposed the negatives and gave me nice pretty photos (probably a good thing otherwise both films would have been prettty boring!)
The second one is after we got chased by police horses (less chased, more trotted after) for 'vandalising'

Finished Work
Images of my lovely model April in the tops that i made for the last unit. The project was based on mapping and journeys. Nothing fixed, all floaty and that...
I'm pleased with how they came out, especially the red one, still too scared to wear them though!
Some sketchbook stuff...
